DURING SAIMUN 2014
The first St. Andrew’s International Model United Nations (SAIMUN) was held in 1988 in St. Andrew’s College, Dublin. Since 2008 SAIMUN has been held in the Royal Marine Hotel, Dublin to accommodate the growing number of delegates who wish to attend. The event has grown in popularity through the years and is now host to 700 students from 45 schools in 20 different countries from around the world. The purpose of SAIMUN is in line with the founders of the United Nations: “to practice tolerance and live together in peace with one another as good neighbours.”
