RACHELE PERTOLDI: BEST DELEGATE IN CSW COMMITTEE

Rachele Pertoldi is a student of the second year of Applied Sciences at ISIS Malignani. She was the delegate of the Russian Federation in the Committee on the Status of Women and she was nominated BEST DELEGATE for her passionate contribution to the debates on the issues “Microcredit for women” and “Health-care in pregnancy”.

These are Rachele’s words to define the extraordinary experience of the CFMUNESCO 2016: “I decided to join in because I strongly believe that we, teenagers, must act, react and impact in the world we live in. No big changes can happen unless we personally involve ourselves in ambitious projects. The MUN event is a moment of sharing and caring, a time of great dreams and expectations, an occasion to work together for a resolution that might bring a wind of change in this world. I worked hard this year, I really challenged myself when I talked in front of the other delegates proposing convincing arguments in favour of the well-being of women.

I remember last year: how shy I was, how embarrassed I felt while talking to an audience, how difficult it was to express my thoughts in English. This year it was much better: I was more confident with my English and my opinions, I was more active and productive. What a great satisfaction to get the award: BEST DELEGATE of my committee! I invite you all to try this challenging experience. You will become cosmopolitan citizens, young people willing to destroy walls and to build bridges.”
